The New York Times reports that Coca Cola has been busted for funneling millions into scientific research that promotes a lack of exercise as the main contributor to obesity, rather than the consumption of sugar sweetened beverages and calories. The group’s website also omitted mention of Coke’s backing until Dr. Yoni Freedhoff, an obesity expert at the University of Ottawa, wrote to the organization to inquire about its funding.
